Project Overview:
Progressive Office Furniture supplied the workplace furniture and workstation solutions for Waterman Workspaces’ flagship serviced office complex in Narre Warren, Victoria.
Occupying approximately 1,986 m², the facility was developed as a flexible business environment incorporating private offices, dedicated work areas, shared workspace, meeting facilities, boardroom facilities and supporting amenities.
The furniture requirements were extensive, with the project accommodating approximately 195 work positions across a combination of individual offices and shared workplace areas.
Progressive Office Furniture provided a coordinated furniture solution designed to deliver ergonomic functionality, durability and consistency throughout the facility.
Vario Electric Height-Adjustable Workstations
A major component of the project was the supply of Vario electric height-adjustable workstations.
These workstations provide users with the ability to electronically adjust their working height, supporting sit-to-stand working and providing greater flexibility for individual users.
The Vario workstations were incorporated into selected areas of the Waterman workplace where adjustable-height functionality was particularly suited to the working environment.
Ambience Fixed Workstations
The project also incorporated Ambience fixed-height workstation systems, providing an efficient and practical solution for dedicated workplace areas.
Using both Vario electric height-adjustable workstations and fixed Ambience workstations allowed the furniture solution to respond to different requirements throughout the serviced-office facility.
This combination provided Waterman with a consistent furniture environment while allowing individual areas to be configured according to their intended use.
Furniture for Private Offices & Shared Workspaces
The furniture supply extended across the different workplace environments within the centre.
Private offices required compact and functional workstation arrangements, while shared and dedicated work areas required efficient workstation planning capable of accommodating a significant number of users within the available floor area.
The furniture was selected and configured to support the flexible nature of Waterman Workspaces, where different businesses and teams occupy the facility and workplace requirements can change over time.
Monitor Arms & Ergonomic Accessories
Progressive Office Furniture also supplied monitor arms and associated ergonomic workstation accessories as part of the project.
Monitor arms provide users with greater flexibility when positioning screens and help maintain a clean, organised workstation environment.
Combined with the height-adjustable Vario workstations, these ergonomic components contributed to a more adaptable workplace for users across the facility.
Soft Wiring & Workplace Connectivity
The workstation installation also incorporated soft wiring solutions, providing practical power and connectivity infrastructure at the workstations.
Integrating power and data requirements with the workstation furniture was an important part of creating a functional contemporary workplace, particularly across a facility accommodating approximately 195 users.
Reception Furniture
Progressive Office Furniture supplied the reception desk and associated front-of-house furniture for the Waterman Workspaces centre.
The reception area forms the first point of contact for tenants and visitors and required furniture that combined a professional appearance with the practical requirements of a busy serviced-office environment.
Boardroom & Meeting Furniture
The project also included the supply of boardroom furniture and furniture for meeting areas, extending the furniture solution beyond individual workstations.
These spaces provide Waterman tenants with professional environments for meetings, presentations, discussions and client interactions.
The combination of workstation, office, reception, meeting and boardroom furniture allowed the furniture supply to be coordinated across the broader facility rather than treating each area as an independent installation.
